Twenty years. One purpose.
Misty Caldwell has spent more than two decades at the intersection of clinical care and the moments that matter most to families. She began her career at the bedside as a nurse's aide, then a surgical transport aide, then an RN at Baptist Saint Anthony Hospital before spending twelve years as a home health case manager, first at Accolade Home Care and then at Professional Edge Nursing.
In that time, she saw the same pattern play out repeatedly: patients with complex needs, multiple providers, and no one in their corner to make sense of it all. Families making critical decisions from a place of confusion rather than clarity. Good physicians working from incomplete pictures. And large health systems, however well-intentioned, referring patients within their own networks rather than to the best specialist for that person's specific situation. Not because anyone was failing. Because the system was never designed to put the patient first.
From case manager to founder.
In 2021, Misty co-founded Choice Health Palliative Care, where she served as RN and clinical operations leader, building care coordination systems, leading interdisciplinary teams, and guiding patients and families through some of the most difficult chapters of their lives. She learned what it means to translate the clinical into the human, and to ensure that care plans actually served the person receiving them, not the system delivering them.
Most recently, Misty completed a full concierge private duty engagement in Venice, serving as the dedicated RN and clinical lead for a client requiring daily in-home presence, overnight staffing, provider coordination, and life scheduling support. It was the Presence model in practice, before this service had a name.
Why this, why now.
This service was built because the need is undeniable and the supply is nearly nonexistent. There is no shortage of nursing services. There is a profound shortage of dedicated clinical relationships, a professional who knows a client completely, has no system agenda to serve, coordinates their entire care picture, and shows up with the right team when the stakes are highest.
